Childcare Provider Resources
Antibiotic resistance has been identified as one of the most important threats to the health of school-aged children in schools and childcare centers.
The CMA Foundation's AWARE Project has teamed up with the California State Child Care Resource and Referral Network (CCRRN) in order to bring a special
collection of multimedia resources to child care centers in the state of California.
These materials are gathered in the Child Care Toolkit and includes:
- AWARE Articles that can be published in your newsletter.
- The CDC's ABC's of Safe and Healthy Child Care Handbook
- The American Academy of Pediatrics' The Pediatrician's Role in Promoting Health and Safety in Child Care
- A curriculum for third graders on the importance of handwashing called Wash the Germs Away
- Infectious disease prevention materials for childcare providers.
- Fun activities for children!
The CMA Foundation and its AWARE Project wish to thank The Clorox Company and Abbott Laboratories for their generous donations to help
this project become a reality.
The Toolkits are downloadable through this website. If you have trouble downloading the documents, or if you would like more information,
